I just wanted to invite anyone who is interested in sharing their pics, videos, and commentary to a new Facebook group open to anyone who has an interest. Don't let the title of the group discourage you, because it is for anyone who likes to clean things, and the equipment used to do so. There are already some Vacuum lovers in the group, and we want to build a stronger base of members who are into talking about and sharing information that others can benefit from. Hope this isn't too "spammy" and "delete if not allowed". Thanks everyone!

Joe, I appreciate your efforts to build a stronger group. However, I will respectfully decline. It's been my experience that most of these Facebook groups are filled with drama & fighting on a regular basis. Whatever you do, make sure you are VERY STRICT in moderating your group to keep it under control.

Regarding the Group and it's friendliness

I didn't mention that we are a strict group. We don't allow negative behavior towards other members and have blocked violators. Actually, someone from here crossed the line with another member and got removed in their first few hours. It was unfortunate, but it happened.
One of the reasons we formed this group was because of the experiences some of the founders have had with other groups. We decided to make a group where everyone was welcome, but everyone has to be respectful to other members and their opinions. So if someone posts something you think is stupid, just don't comment on it.
It has a majority of carpet cleaners right now. But there are vacuum lovers, housekeepers, car detailers, janitorial/custodial, carpet and floor installers/repairers, and a few people who just want a friendly atmosphere to hang out.
We want more vacuum lovers/collectors/enthusiasts because most of the people in the group may use vacuums a lot, but they aren't experts about what to look for in a good vacuum and could use more information from people who have knowledge about what to look for etc.
It's a new group, and we hope it grows with nice, friendly people who like to talk about many facets of cleaning, and the equipment available for that, and that everyone who joins can feel that they can participate without fear of being mocked or bullied or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. Those who enjoy arguments, and forcing their opinions on others won't get to stay in this group, it's not for that sort of thing.
So I hope anyone reading this will consider joining and participating, and if you ever do feel uncomfortable, let me or one of the other admin/moderators know. And also feel like a part of something that is for them, and they can help grow the group in a positive direction.
And to those who don't want to play nice, and are looking for places that will allow them to flex their muscles, and push others around, please don't waste your or our time by coming because we have a zero tolerance for it there.
This is a group for those who are sick of those groups/forums and if that is you, then you are welcome.
