After the candy the maid might be able to say "--My folks got the Hoover." (Very few here today will know what this refers to.)
I appreciate that, Elliot!Paul, you have some very, very nice machines. Amazing! I can't upload photos as we are getting ready to shift house, so they are all in storage, though I would love to.
Do you mean that you are no longer collecting and restoring any vintage Eurekas?A few spots open for machines currently under restoration, and a couple needing restoration. A lot of my Eurekas have been sold, now the stains in the old carpet are more visibleView attachment 172104View attachment 172105View attachment 172106View attachment 172107View attachment 172108View attachment 172109View attachment 172110View attachment 172111View attachment 172112
They are all beautiful, but my favorite is for sure the 1978 Golden Jubilee 50th Anniversary Filter Queen. Do you think they will do a 100th?I sold and repaired vacuum cleaners for almost 50 years. Not really interested in the new stuff anymore when we have such great vintage machines. My vacuums live in their own room, which I call "the vacuum room". They are nowhere else around my house because I never wanted anyone to come over to my house and think I was weird with all these vacuum cleaners standing around doing nothing. That Royal handheld is a beauty! I love the blue cord! My first vac was a Dirt Devil Ultra hand vac. It's at my parents and it still works.View attachment 172356The Royal products
I also love the blue cord, I do want to get a Windsor with the blue cord. I bought the blue hand vac NOS from an antique store on eBay, and I’ve used it a few times. I’ve been trying to hoard bags for the Royal handheld. I also had the Dirt Devil Ultra hand vac, I remember how loud it was. That Royal handheld is a beauty! I love the blue cord!
