You may have known this...

Kyle by accident I learned that the paper bad that will fit the Airway but just a little tiny triming is the Windsor Upright vacuum. When I had Windsor I had some extra paper bags and the figured how the fit very well...

Just thought I would let you know...It looks like you had a great time. Lucky you.

Wow Kyle...you have had some amazing luck lately...what is your grand total now? My favorite is the Hoover 1060!

Hi Kyle, looks like you scored big again! Congratulations! They all look like fine machines. I've got a Lux 30 just like that except mine doesn't have a cord winder. The Airway is a somewhat rare machine, although not as rare as your Model O Hoover, which I would consider to be the crown jewel of your collection.

On Simplicity and a few oldies.........

Kyle,

I'm glad that you got to my shop today. I enjoyed talking with you and going thru your vacuum scrapbook. I hope that your mom was okay with me giving all of them to you!

The Electrolux again was my great-grandmothers, and truth be told she diddn't like it. That's the reason why It ended up being so well preserved. She actually preffered Eureka's and also had a D272 that I have a copy of as well, or not her original machine.

The Hoover was a find that I got from the Ann Arbor ReUse center, and was in suprisingly good condition and had it's original hedlight lens too. And as you now know it was totally in serviceable condition. Look inside the bag compartment BTW there should be a C bag or two in there.

And on the Air Way it's totally original except the cord, and as I siad I hand buffed it this morning so it shined well so when you saw it you got the suprised look that you ended up showing when you came in. I use a Hoover C bag as well in there, but you may be able to find a more suitable replacement as stated above.

And to sum it up, you are more them welcome back to the store at any time. Maybe if time and energy permits we can run that Model O. I also spoke to Rob Gwisdala* (spell) and we were thinking about plans somtime for a mini-meet of sorts.

Well glad that you have them, and happy vacuuming

Chad

Wow kyle!

What great gifts! They all look so nice!

The 1060 is a great convertible. Possibly my favorite....or the model 66. Toss up! One has a warping hood, and the other has a headlight lens that wants out from the very beginning! Both clean excellently.

Great stuff. Now I've an excuse for a drive to Ann Arbor LOL. I was there July two summers ago when I back visiting my mom and we had our English cousins over visiting, heard about the art fair in A.A and them being the artsy type we spent an afternoon looking at all that stuff..I'd have rather been looking at vacuums most definitely.

Chad Thanks Again!!!

I am making the 1060 my new daily driver!! I hope that make TOM ANDERSON happy!!! LOL just kidding! But i do love the 1060! Quiet, Powerful and A GREAT vac!! THANKS CHAD!!!!

I am making the 1060 my new daily driver!!

Kyle,

An excellent machine for sure for a daily driver. There's NOTHING like a two position Hoover Convertible to fluff up your rugs and carpets, and pound out the deep dirt your other vacuum cleaners may be missing!!!

Hoovers, including the Convertible are still fairly plentiful in our area, so you should have great luck in securing what you need for it. However, one thing for sure that's NLA according to MY sources is the flip switch in the handle. So just use it easy and you should never have an issue.

Im glad that I was able to give you those three machines. It does a person good to know that they will be taken care of and loved. Im still thinning some so I may still have a few goodies in store as well. I can't think of a single person more deserving than you for these great oldies!

Rob Gwisdala- I will be unable to go to Lansing this weekend to see about that Dialamatic for you. I have too many commitments here in Ann Arbor this weekend. I will go up tho in two weeks and see what's up. I know I have one, so dont be dismayed. It's in as nice or nicer shape than Kyles Convertible!!

convertible1060

im glad you like the convertible, kyle. the model 1060 was one of my first Convertibles. what i like the most is the stunning (to me) color combo. i understand Hoover called it Taupe (Med and Deep?). to me its more of a cafe au lait. i wonder if the Hoover designers were inspired by the fabulous 1940s models when they concieved the brown scheme. just looking at the 1060 (and its cousins) DOES something to me. and, sunny yellow is probably my favorite color! a VERY tastefull Convertible. IMO, Hoover shoulda expanded on the milk chocolate Convertibles and done more variations.
