Help Support VacuumLand:

Wow! Looks like everyone's having a blast! So much to see and do! Wish I could be there. One of these days, when I get to the point that travel is within my budget, I WILL be there! Until then, thank you for sharing the photos of all the fun going on!

Thanks to Alex Braun

The group went to Alex Braun's home and we were treated to his vacuum rooms as well as his garage. Pictured are his contributions to the vacuum cleaner museum. Thanks Alex. I love the Kirby model 2C.

The Alex Braun Collection

The entire Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Group went on a field trip to Alex Braun's home. We were treated to a tour of his EXTENSIVE private collection. He has a Canister room, and an Upright room. Here are some candid shots of his collection. Thanks Alex for the hospitality. I believe Alex has one of every Hoover Convertible ever made.

The Torrington

Made in Torrington, Conn. David Morgan from Ohio just had to try it out. The Torrington was made in 1917 and still works perfectly. The original bag is a nice touch.

John Pease

With the Regina upright. Uses a Westinghouse motor, very quiet (surprisingly so) and excellent pick up. Huge bag. Thanks John for giving it a whirl.

The Air-Way "Super Chief" Sanitary System

Chris from Ohio just had to try it. Beater Bars mounted on rubber, this machine could outclean a Hoover. This is the FIRST vacuum design with a power nozzle (2 motor system) in the world. Also features a bare floor shut off switch for the brush. 50 years ahead of its time.

Checking out the instruction manual

Russ is perusing the 1958 pink KenKart's instruction manual. Did anyone know that machine had an optional cord winder that went underneath? Very advanced for the time. And oh so "pank"!!!

The Hoover Windtunnel Air

"Pro". We celebrate all brands and ages of vacuums at the Vacuum Cleaner Museum. As my BF, Donnie, would say "The Hoover gots the sucky sucky". It's a very powerful machine.
