Please excuse the grammar, I tried to go back and re-edit but it should be a "?" for the question: "Does anyone else have ads to share?" I guess I was just a little too excited to find this advertisement again in my folders!! LOL! I think it's the Celebrity II Elite that is similar to this, for some reason I always get confused by the Celebrity II or Celebrity IV series. The one I'm thinking of had the following details:
- White cord winder storage, white attachment storage behind the cord winder which sat on the brilliant orange top. The furniture guard gasket was white, base of the suction canister was brown with the large size rubber coated rear wheels as found on the Guardsman above. The power nozzle was a typical Celebrity with headlight. The headlight cover and furniture guard were brown to match the base of the suction unit. I think Orange would have been a better look though. Some of the models had 2 straight aluminum rough coating wands and 1 shorter 3rd wand at the top with suction release valve and curved shaft to attach to hose. Other models consisted of 1 straight shiny chrome bottom wand and a longer top wand with suction release valve and curved top, also shiny, chrome.
I went to yard sales today, but the last few weeks of yard sales have been fairly dull around here in Centre County Pennsylvania. I have not seen a single vacuum cleaner of any kind in the past few weeks. I keep hoping that I will come across a Hoover Celebrity canister or other vintage great canister power team like my green Eureka 1784B. Used it last night, what a great machine!
I looked for another thread on this but other than the vacuum store displays I couldn't find one for random advertisements. That would be such a great display to see old newspaper circular and magazine advertisements in addition to catalog photos from Montgomery Ward, Best, Service Merchandise, Sears, etc.
Happy Vacuuming and enjoy your weekend everyone!
