I decided to make a trip to the twin cities while taking some time off, while down there I stopped at a vacuum shop that gets massive amounts of Kirby trade ins There were some other machines which piqued my interest such as an air-tec canister and Kenmore duo-power but I ended up passing on them.
I did bring this blue Dial-A-Matic and the Eureka 2035 (I think) I also picked up some various parts like a Hoover convertible hose, Oreck badged EBK260 powerhead, a Eureka 2 sided brush/upholstery tool, A rainbow D3 dolly, A royal upright hose adapter, and some other misc.

A little later in the day I stopped to pick up some machines Joshp83 had picked up for me over time these machines were: The hoover special, the Hoover Junior, the evolution, The miele bolero, the Miracle mate, and the Royal

Then we cut to today, I went to a relatives to shampoo their carpet and thought i'd hit up another shop i'm familiar with. I ended up with this Riccar 8900 and this Parts machine lindhaus with a fair number of tools for like Panasonic and Sharp and then I spotted an Oreck Magnesium on marketplace.

With all these I've got a good amount of work to do!

That Hoover Special looks like a 102 or 105 with a Robbins and Myers motor. The switch is on the right (from the back) which would be 102 but it looks like it has the tilting bar on the bail which would be a 105.

Thanks guys!

Variety is the spice of life and I find it true in collecting too. While I generally stick to more modern machines I thought the coffee can style of machine would be an interesting piece for my collection

As for the special It's a 105. I've never worked on a machine like that before so i'm a tish uneasy about it but I'd imagine it's probably not too difficult.

Nice finds!

I really like the Miele and especially that Dial A Matic. That shade of blue looks unusual and I kinda like those gear stickers that somebody stuck on it. They seem oddly fitting.

Emblem

I thought they were supposed to be flowers looking more closely at it i'm not exactly sure what they're supposed to be they kind of resemble feathers or even mittens.

Nice haul. Looks like a fun variety of machines to play with. I’m pretty sure one of my old dial a matics has the flowers on it too. The power nozzle for the miracle mate is made by Lindhaus. If you had the bottom half of the Lundhaus pro upright it would be very similar to the MM PN.

Miracle mate

Funny you bring up this unit It's my current project. I'm quite familiar with the Lindhaus PB14 the bottom nozzle is one I bought brand new a number of years ago. Miracle mate's i've seen with this nozzle, a sebo ET-C, and a platinum edgelift, seems the ET-C is their current offering.

This machine while surprisingly healthy had a number of small issues.
When I pulled out the bag and found that it had exploded I figured the motor would be a wreck but the front fan looked surprisingly clean and the motor spun freely so i decided to skip opening it up. The cloth bag took a lot of washing though!
The cord winder wasn't working which i'm guessing this taped section was the cause of it, fortunately, the winder was serviceable so i attached a new cord.
One of the small filter doors had a broken latch, this was repaired with some gorilla glue
I tried to patch some of the missing paint chips it worked in some areas but not on others as the paint just ran but it looks a little better
I've not worked on the accessories yet I know the hose and wand are stuck together but that shouldn't be too hard to deal with.

The Miracle Mate along with the other TriStar derived designs are pretty tough birds. Relatively simply design and high quality materials are a winning team here. As long as you can sort of the small things you should have a great machine to use. That bag was a nasty mess but the cloth bag should have stopped most of the mess from escaping. There should be a filter over the motor intake too.
