I stopped by a friend of mine's vac shop yesterday just to chew the fat for a bit. He tells me a couple of weeks ago, he was broken into after he was closed thank God, and they took the whole cash register. That night a car lot down the street a couple of blocks made the news, and his cash register was found in the dumpster behind their lot. A couple of guys went in to negotiate a price on a car, came to an agreement and said they'd be back with some cash. They came back, and brutally beat the salesman, breaking bones, and ramming him body/face first into an old style tube TV in the office, and stole a SUV. That salesman is going to need brain surgery. Tony showed me the newsclip from a local channel, I had missed it. Many of you have met Tony, really nice guy, but in a bad part of town (Ferguson), which many of you might remember the unrest there last fall which made national news. Apparently the "unrest" is not over, really sad. It's too bad a business owner has to be readily armed in his own business, and Tony has been since last August, when he had to board up his windows at his shop. Very disturbing to say the least, but he is well, had to have a new front door installed. It really shook me up, but Tony is a pretty tough Italian guy who's ready to defend himself and his business if necessary.
