I remember a lady who had a machine like this, except it was red and white. I didn't much care for it but she always let me use it which was certainly appreciated!

Re: Reason:

What is the reason that you didn't like the Lady you remember having a Westinghouse Vacuum Cleaner? I like the great 2-Tone Blue Color of the on that is the "VOD" Pix. I would like to locate one something just like it.

I reminds me of being similar to the Filter Queen Vacuum Cleaners, even with the Retractable Cord, that I've never seen in person on the Filter Queen's.

I've got an early 1960's 2-Speed Filter Queen and it has a Cardboard insert Advertisement on the Caster Dolly, that tells about being able to get the optional Retractor Cord Mechanism. My Filter Queen's Cord wraps around the underneath of the Attachment Holder Circle.

I bought it for $25.00 in Mid-1970 at a Yard Sale, got the Flex Hose replaced and even had it lengthened to 7-Feet for about $20.00 then a few Years later, I had it Overhauled for about $65.00. It has been the best Vacuum Cleaner I've ever had for cleaning out Dryers, because I can clean 4-Dryers out, even being real full of Lint, before having to empty the Dirt Collector Holder.

It wasn't the lady I didn't like,

It was the vacuum --- I thought it was ugly, and it did not pick up very well. And it was rather noisy.

Re: Oops, Sorry:

I just realized that I mixed up my writing, I had meant to ask you why you didn't like the Westinghouse Vacuum Cleaner. Was it the performance, style, Suction, etc?
