I like the design of the British Hotpoint uprights of the 1980’s. Here’s Beko1987 putting together a Hotpoint Junior upright on YouTube - very interesting!
Were you able to ask by dad who is long deceased Hotpoint never made anything even halfway decent.Though not as good as it used to be.
I had such a Hotpoint as shown in one of the ads posted originally. It ran well but the lack of power was noticeable.
