Updating the back house

Belated Happy 70th Birthday Jim! Great family pictures of a wonderful time together, and it looks like your backhouse turned out to be an excellent place to stage the event! So glad you were able to get the whole family together! We used to have gatherings like that, but not so much anymore. If we can get 3 of our 4 kids and their families together at the same time, we consider ourselves lucky. We also had a cookout on the 4th with 2 of our kids, 2 grandkids, and our great-granddaughter, and watched the fireworks from our patio after that. We're just 2 blocks away from the park where they set the fireworks off.
We're just a year apart, I'll be celebrating my 69th on Saturday! Maybe our age proximity has something to do with our similar interests in the variety and ages of the vacuums we collect, and I'm sure we have a lot more in common too!

Thank you, Jim! Had a great time even though not all the family was here, but the ones who were here on the 4th were also here for my birthday. Had BBQ pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, and of course cake & ice cream. Looking forward to seeing what my last year in the 60's is going to bring!

I thought with the new color added to my workshop I should update the Kirby lamp over the workbench. I had it originally done with grey trim, but now with the black paint on the cabinet framing it would look better in black trim. I used a Kirby 2C nozzle and belt cap, with a new replacement light cap painted in black as well. I do think it looks better.
