So I hope that posting in this category is not forbidden as to the item I have came with the second hand purchase of my Electrolux Guardian Encore.

Nothing I have fits the groves and I am not really sure about it..

They made a hand held scrubber, which fits on the one side. The brush fit on the other side with the bottles of cleaning solution.

Possibly one of these?

I think It’s called a “Little Pro”. It almost looks like something that wasn’t officially sanctioned as a dealer item, like maybe sold on QVC during the same era as the Drilux carpet dry cleaning machine. I believe Black and Decker made these.

That is actually very interesting to see the photo of that one! I did get one of these in it which I thought was completely random...

Wonder how common these kits? are?

That is so neat! I guess Electrolux thought this would be the perfect compliment to the Drilux and Floor Pro for doing furniture and stairs.

Now what I have to wonder is, why didn't they sell it thru dealers, and why did they discontinue it? This would still be ideal to sell today beside the Floor Pro.

Luxlife is correct. This is a rebadged Black & Decker ScumBuster shower cleaner.

I can tell you why they likely quit selling them - they broke too easily and were not at all worth Oreck's markup. Oreck's tools they bundled with this cleaner were also way too huge and clunky for the tiny motor in it - I'll bet a lot of them had terrible battery life or just flat out never worked when attempting to scrub with them. These originally sold for $39.99. I don't know how much Oreck tried to get out of them.

Nice concept, sorry execution...

I had the Black & Decker version. I haven't seen it in a long time but it may still be around here somewhere. It used the same VersaPak batteries as their low end battery power tools--everything from drills to leaf blowers--from the late '90s and early 2000s. I think I paid about $20 or $25 for it at Kmart. Even at that price, it was definitely not one of my better purchases. Even with a full charge, the motor simply wasn't powerful enough to accomplish anything.

I have a Little Pro...

picked it up at an estate sale for a few bucks. It's definitely underpowered and nothing special, but I thought the carpet cleaning foam was really good. I tried to get another can from the local Aerus/Electrolux branch several years ago and learned it was discontinued. Anyone know of a good substitute brand?

Electrolux priced the Little Pro at $99 but for the most part they were given away in exchange for the trade-in cleaner. It made more sense for the company to give the customer a "$100" item for their trade in (which cost the company less than $20) rather than give them $100 off the price - that would cut into the salesman's commission severely.
