Cleaning things from my parent's home and found the old Universal VC6700 with the hose that my father used to use to vacuum his car. There isn't any wand pieces, and no tools, just what you see in the pictures.

The last time I remember it used in the house was probably the late 1960s. I think it was replaced by a Kirby. I had to move mom into a nursing facility, and it isn't cheap, so every little bit helps.

I have not cleaned it so it is dusty, but plugged it in and it still runs. Checked the bag and it is dusty but good clean dirt.

I want to sell it to a good home. I don't know what it is worth, but here it is in its blazing glory. Make me a reasonable offer?

It is dusty all over, and I had a heck of a time getting a picture to show the model number; it wasn't stamped very well. I am not sure I was successful getting the picture, but I think I could make it out.

If more pictures, better pictures or you have any particular thing you want me to show, just ask.

I will wrap it well and ship it, but the buyer will get the bill. It is fairly heavy, I was surprised.

I had read this forum before and thought of yawl when I found it on a shelf.

Hey

I'm not offering just advising. The value is $30-$50. If it was in better shape it would fetch more but not alot more.

Universal tank

I am just over the mountains from you but already have one and don't need.
Part of value would be original parts and condition.Cord and hose are not original.
The most interesting feature of this model, that some here may not know,is that it was one of the first vacs to signal that the bag should be emptied.(Hoover 150 was another.)Universal had a platform that the bag rested on.When the weight of the dirt pressed this down the light in front of switch button lit up.

Hmm

Being atleast 5 vacuums used tube design. It was made 1955-1965. It sort of resembles cars from same era.
