That will be right purdy Rick and I concur with Jack.

Yeah, I can't abide having any of the Miss Universe frippery cluttering up the house.

Now if it was Mr Universe...

Oh, wait...never mind.

Please come to Orlando and Ruskin FL,and pick up Terry and I so WE can come and rebuild that machine for you...would LOVE to try out your new buffing wheels!!!

P.S. Tell pat to get our bed room ready, we will be there at least a week and a half mabey longer...it all depends on how well Terry behaves.

Hey thanks for the photo Jack. Makes sense to me now about the grooves in the rug plate. Good. Much easier to fashion a wire rug guard than a whole plate! That Sweeper-Vac is very similar.

Congratulations Rick!

on getting this Universal after failing to get the one that I outbid you on!

It's very similar to mine, only mine doesn't have Model 58 written on the front cover.

The two wire guards on the Universal are very similar to the ones on the Sweeper Vac that Jack has sent a picture of, only on my Universal, the wires at the back are each secured with a metal plate and two screws instead of hooking onto a round bar.

John!

Thanks for the brochure posts. I think you may have posted that one before, and now that I have the cleaner, I appreciate it all the more!

Stephen,

After I get mine finished, we'll have to meet half-way and run them side by side.

Wait, probably not a good idea....it would help to have land under our feet.

Tonight I'm going to look and see if I perhaps took any pictures at the museum in New Britain that perhaps shows the rug guard in place. Why didn't I pay more attention to this stuff when I was there?

'we'll have to meet half way'

Rick, I'd love to visit the States sometime, after all I've never been but it's not really feasible considering my budget (says he of many Hoovers and expensive Universals ah hmmm)

I'll also thank John for sending the Universal brochure; I found it very interesting too!

Stephen
