For the past week, goodwill was in a vacuum "dry spell." For a while all they had were plastivacs, but I kept saying to myself, you have to go EVERY DAY to get the GOOD STUFF! Well this past Friday, I nearly passed out when I saw a KIRBY SENTRIA sitting there! It had the hose and a few attachments all piled in a Bissel box. (makes you wonder if they'd be stupid enough to buy a bissel and throw away the Kirby) I polished it up with my Makita drill and cutting wheel, and gave it full on SPA service. It looks like a new machine at this point. Oh yeah, they had it marked $15.09.

Awesome score...  I thought I did well to find mine for 60 bucks a few years ago, but it didn't come with any attachments or the shampooer... still, one of my favorite Kirbys and that really is an awesome deal.  Have fun with it.

Congratulations on such a nice find, slim pickings over at the Huffman thrift stores.
Is the Good Will still on Green Springs Hwy I have not been over that way in a while?

Ron.

Greensprings Highway

Yes, it is the Goodwill on Greensprings. By the Huffman stores, do you mean Planet Thrift, Americas Thrift Stores, Big Saver? At Planet Thrift, I found a Classic 1-cr, but the motor was fried, so I parted it out. Goodwill had a Heritage 84 and a Legend II about a week before the Sentria, so I think their inventory is picking up.

Big Saver is closest and American Thrift is 3 miles away. I usually go by the Big Saver 3 times a week looking for certain Canon printers.
I like Vacuum Cleaners but I only have room for 2 in my small house.
Sure am glad I found this forum so I can learn a little about quality vacuum cleaners.

Ron.

I NEVER.....

Found anything good at my Goodwill/Salvation Army! The best I have ever found there was a mid 90's Hoover Tempo Broom vac thing! NICE FIND!!! Hope you enjoy it
