Well the Dyson has proper filtration and a cyclone system that won't require more maintenance - no wonder they want a ball upright - the hose on this Panasonic is very short too - don't forget I did trial this after your post. The Panasonic also uses tools that can only be used with that model.

Well I'll just see what they say, tbh they won't know any different but I haven't seen any ball Dysons on the carboot at all.
