Hi, I'm new.

I just acquired a real nice yellow U4007 with the paisly outer bag. The belt currently holding the bottom fill bag on is cracking. i want to replace it but all assembly drawings I've found online don't identify it as being different from the agitator belt, though it looks smaller in circumference... than the drive belt.

Also the cord was taped and i need a replacement.

Could anyone please tell me what part numbers to use for the bag belt and agitator belts for the U4007?

thanks in advance

the belts are type 48 or part number 49258. if you get those get vintage ones made before the year 2007. ones made after that are junk. also 44783 belt (AG commercial) is also available, and better quality, those can still be had new but are more expensive. use genuine hoover type c bags , but again old bags. typically ones with copyright date 1991 or older. new bags from china have junk filtration.

if there is no exposed inner wiring insulation from where the cord was taped, keep it, it'll be perfectly safe.

Bag Belt

If the rubber belt to hold in the bag is damaged, you may be able to replace it with a Sanitaire garter spring, which basically has the same function.

bag band

One of my other Hoovers is type C and uses a flat large rubber band. Do you know where those may be available if the rubber ring isn't?

thanks

I use a Hoover Junior belt to secure the bag, it's smaller than the Convertible agitator belt. I have this configuration currently on my Hoover model 70 as the original ring to secure the bag wore out. Hope this helps.

Type C bag retainer band

Thanks the Hoover 38527004 worked same as 046550AG. Fits the lark for drive as well as bag on "C" advertisements say.
