So my new hoses and all that arrived and I was dinking around on ebay yet again and I saw a seperate main unit and wheels for a Rainbow and I put a bid on it. This new unit I am going to put my 4 quart on it and it will be used for the rug scrubber. I have found it a pain in the butt when you are cleaning having to switch back and forth with the different tools you are using. So I have two machines for a full system. Anyone else do this?

When I was using a Rainbow with a power nozzle, (back during one brief period when I actually had wall to wall carpeting which needed a PN) I never bothered with switching between the two separate hoses.  I simply detached the hose and cord from the PN wand for dusting etc, just as I would when using an Electrolux or Eureka.  Even with the little button lock, that hose end slipped into the wands for the bare floor brush just fine.  That was a D2 model btw.
