Baking with a 100-watt bulb...
My sister had the Suzy Homemaker oven but I only remember her using it like once or twice. I think once the couple of little cake mixes that came with it were gone, it simply became a prop for her dolls. My parents were sort of bad about getting us toys that required consumable supplies but then not replenishing them when the starter supply ran out. It's kind of hard to make things with your Thingmaker when you don't have any Goop. I recall being kind of disappointed with what came out of Suzy Homemaker oven--brownies with very little flavor and even less texture. Then as now, the idea of using a 100-watt light bulb as a heat source seemed kind of silly to me and Lord knows what kind of toxic fumes were released as the plastic was warmed up. Frankly, it's a wonder the plastic didn't melt from the heat of the bulb.
