I saw this in a thrift store for $15 - thought it was pretty cool, but not nearly as well made as my Electrolux or Royal canisters. I was tempted to buy it and then pass it on, either on this forum or on eBay, but don't want to end up with a house full of "orphan" vacuum cleaners or to have to deal with the hassle of selling and shipping on ebay for practically no profit. Do you ever buy vacuums that you don't want just in case someone else might want them?

The name 'Turbotronic' was bought by Metropolitan...

The original manufacturer was located in New York. They called themselves "Arkay".
