I think you'll like it...
I have a Duros,IIve had it for 5 years and had the same problem with the wires at the machine end of the hose, but other than that its surprisingly durable. Its dying now but considering its been through hell and back and it seems cheap and flimsy I think I got my $$$ worth.
I used it as my downstairs vac for the first 3 years then its been in use in the utility rooms because you can't buy(or couldnt 2 years ago)just the brushroll and its quite worn I guess from my flat ugly carpet thats sitting on cement with no padding left lol.
also the caniser has fallen down my (7) stairs at least twice and only got a few scratches.
So all in all its not a bad vac but it is kida clumbsy, and the small brushroll doesn't "deep clean" to well, but I figured that anyway when I got it and bought it anyway cause like I sait the carped I used it for is flat.
Just my 11 ams worth lol
