I would guess that the person made the list as part of an attempt to sell it to someone into DIY repairs; both to inform and insure against lack of disclosure. As for word-processing the list, he or she might be lacking in legible penmanship skill or suffer from a disease such as arthritis. Just saying
Haha i made the list for it to help me keep track of what it needed, we just got a printer that day and i decieded to try it

Well she's finished! I found out the cause of the powerhead bug and it turns out that I didn't route the wires right and they were getting pinched by a piece of molding every time I'd recline the machine it would shut off the powerhead in certain positions, granted the wires that were pinched have a pretty good pinch in them but when they're not being pinched they work great! I guess all I need to do now is reprint out a laminated brush roll chart indicator that's a better substantial quality compared to what I have in it right now but it's still certainly makes it look great. But honestly I think she's good just the way she is right now. Such a huge sigh of relief that I saved this thing from the crusher but what I can't get over is the condition of the hose, there is not a dent or cut in the hose at all! I don't come across many trash finds, but this I would assume is the holy Grail of trash finds. It was a fun journey fixing up this machine.

Yeah that's what I suspected it was. As long as they dont get pinched again they should be fine. Looks very....orange~!

Looks great! This was certainly a great find, I believe there was one on eBay for $300 a few months ago. I do want to get a versamatic at some point, if I find one in good condition. The first vacuum I seen in school was a Versamatic (I believe it was blue) or it might have been a triple s.

Can dumpster diving get you arrested? In NZ, not really.
I am not completely sure, but I did a brief google search. It is not illegal in the US (the Supreme Court ruled in 1988), but the municipalities might deem it illegal. It is fairly common to have trash pickers come around the day before our trash is picked up. I do not live in an HOA, I would suspect that HOAs would not like trash picking. Most dumpsters are on private property, so if the owners dislikes the dumpster diving, you could be charged with trespassing. I will say that I have had a homeless person ask me if he could look in our dumpster at the store I work in occasionally (we don’t care).
I have nothing to do with law.

It was trash day yesterday and as I was leaving the neighborhood in my car I saw a dude on a bicycle with two HUGE transparent plastic bags filled with recyclable plastic bottles and cans. I have to assume he was going through the neighborhood blue bins looking for containers that could be returned for five cents each.

You know when i found that thing i wanted to get it as quickly as possible because in the back of my mind i think some Karen is going to come out of the blue yelling at me to put back trash no one wants because the dumpster as a whole is on a "private property" sort of thing. And telling me that i don't own it, yet if trash exists that no one wants, who owns it? Rather who owns trash? Sure, someone may own a dumpster, but the stuff inside that dumpster is stuff that nobody wants to own, so who is it owned by? But don't get me wrong this was like a public place where people go to dump stuff and it was on a Sunday. And i have respect for businesses and if that's there rules i wouldn't go further! But however if i saw a Fantom Thunder in a dumpster within in reach, i don't give a damn I'm grabbing that and driving off with it lol!
