I found this in a thread posted by Ben. I'm trying to wire bypassing switch. Please I know safety switch put there for a reason I'm bypassing for a reason. I want to use hose from classic that has safety switch d80 has. The only option is to bypass switch. I also want to use rug rennovator on it.
The diagram looks like the safety switch a switch for field coil.
I get black is power. The headlight I think orange is power wire but on second diagram it looks to be white. I believe top diagram is for my vacuum. So I'm going with orange. Red from switch is third hot wire. I'd have to splice and bunny tail I think is what it's called. I add wire to orande run too black or hot wire side of switch.
There is 2 whites and yellow from switch all go to neutral or w side of switch.
The 2 green are ground and ground accordingly.
It's weird seeing 8 wire one speed switch. Especially headlight and usually 2nd speed run all by field coil.
Insight would be appreciated. I solder flux and headshrink all spliced wires so no potential for wires arcing out.

Heu

Thanks
It's just threw me off all models after d50 have 2 amp ratings. The tradition just has one amp rating throwing me off.

I know I just thought this was single speed as plate says 5 amps.  Every other has nozzle and hose amps.  I going to make single speed.  Thanks again.
