A big Smoby thing I had when I was about 2/3, can't reme

I remember those Smoby toy vacs! IIRC, it was round and had a clear tank/bin and came with loads of attachments. Not seen one since

Turbo500

That's the one!

Thanks so much for reminding me!

I remember receiving it as a birthday present in 2001 & then when we moved a few months later I remember carrying it as we walked in the front door for the first time. I would love to see a picture of one, or even have another one. I loved how many attachments it came with, despite it not being a real vacuum.

Thanks ever so much again!

^no problem. I think it was meant to be the childrens equivalent of a Vax or similar 3 in 1 machine. I always remember thinking they looked pretty cool. IIRC they were on sale about the same time as the Dirt Devil Junior Deluxe Upright toy.

What does IIRC mean, not a term used likely by people around me.

They were in the Argos Catalogue, actually the Index Catalogue, but I had hours of fun with mine & loved the fact that we had Henry at the time too, so they were similar.

I'd give anything to have another, can't find a picture of one, sigh

I don't know that you'd call it a toy, as much as a novelty.
I have the battery powered Henry. I think they call it a desktop Henry. Supposedly, it's capable of picking up small desktop debris. Crumbs, dust, maybe eraser shavings, if people still use erasers. I've never been able to confirm this, because I could never get the battery compartment open. Rather than risk breaking it, I just kept it for looks. He is mighty cute!
Aside from that, I just have three tiny Hoovers that are actually measuring tapes. I have two different color Constellations, and a maroon Elite upright.

Edit:
Again, not really toys per se, but I have several different styles of the Electrolux "Save N Pay" banks.
I always wished they had hoses and little mini power nozzles![this post was last edited: 5/28/2020-13:50]
