I once..

Had one, and wish I had it back, it is the same motor as any 60s GE, a good, feature packed vacuum.

These may be rare because the "popular" vac continued to be the swivel top with several models starting at low prices.Most will be cream/tan with later ones in yellow/green.They had standard and deluxe versions starting with no tool tray and then adding suction control,tool tray,cordwinder,etc.The lever on side releases top half which lifts off.I had only 1 bag customer in many years for my very limited supply compared to dozens of swivel top customers.
 
Love the top tool-caddy - so easy to store tools without the need to squeeze them onto special knobs, or into designated holes or slots. The boxy proportions of the vac bring the tools to a higher level so you don't have to stoop so much.

Wonder if the vac fit securely on stairs. I imagine it could not be stood on its back-side and needed to always have its wheels on the ground.

Such a nice design....
