Does anybody know what year this Eureka ad is from? I have the model 2013 A shown in the left hand side of the picture, and wanted to know how old it is. Thanks.

most, Eureka uprights....

are dated under the base, there's a circle, with a little nub in the center (we call this a nipple, for obvious reasons). this should contain two (2) numbers that make up the last two numbers of the year (minus the 19**). For instance, mine read 73. Witch then means mine is from 1973. Now there are some odd ball cases where some were not dated, the reason for this is a mystery, but just remember, the two numbers should make sense. Of coarse that not going to be from 1955 (55 in the circle), or 1988 (88 in the circle). since you know what mine says that should give you a idea...=)

This Eureka top of the line Golden Rugulator Cordaway is from 1973. It is Model 2082. The Eureka in the centre of the trio is Model 2042, also from 1973. In the 1974 tests of uprights by Consumer Reports, the 2042 was top rated and listed as a Best Buy. The 2082 was ranked number 2 in the upright category. These new Eurekas filled most of the top spots in the rankings of 1974, mostly due to "Excellent" results in carpet cleaning. It's the design that to this day lives on in the commercial Sanitaire uprights.
