Well Alan, I'm mid century modern myself, maybe that's why I like all this stuff and this neighborhood. I grew up a scant few blocks away from this house but on the still nice but lesser streets..This little enclave of houses was considered at the time upscale with lots of doctors, lawyers etc inhabiting the homes which were notably larger and fancier. Funny thing is,,looking at it today while it's still very nice and a desirable little area the houses pale in comparison to what doctors and lawyers are living in today..LOL There are still a number of those same old doctors and lawyers and a judge all living on this street since it was built in 59

I forgot to say,,, remembering back to when I was a kid and I'd walk or ride my bike down this street I used to dream that someday I'd be living in a house like one of these.. And here I am LOL

I'd rather live in an upscale Mid Century of the '50s than today's upscale McMansions. Did you ever watch "Kids In The Hall"? It of course was a Canadian comedy program, but it had a filmed skit about a typical '50s gay guy stereotype, who had ordered a slave from a mail order company. It was shot in black and white, they had a scene on a street with a few 1956 cars and those fabulous brick ranches in the background. Really funny show altogether.

its not rare

They made 495,000+ of these things, model 33 was the 2nd most popular Convertible of the 60's.

But they made less of them with a lavender/lilac cord LOL I'm sure mine will fetch $10,000 when I ebay it. In fact I'm counting on it.. I need a new car

I dunno Pete

thats a lot of cabbage for a model 33(1) I don't know of any vintage vacuum that would go for that much.
well maybe one...

Alan, You've found both vacuums I am watching on eBay. LOL. I love the lilac color, I also love the handle on the Canadian constellation, reminds me of a hat box.

What a great find Pete. I am hoping I will find one of the other 493,000 that are floating around out there. I guess I will have to ready a 10,001.99 bid to snag that one on eBay.

That is a great picture of you vacuuming in your living room with the lilac Hoover. You have a lovely house with a pretty view.
