I’m a day late. However I would still like to participate. I’ve been using my newly acquired Convertible 69 and my Electrolux AF for my daily drivers. I purchased the 69 off of eBay from Mark Berger. Thanks Mark!

Hopefully I will get around to painting the handle. [this post was last edited: 4/17/2012-17:24]

I have been using my Electro-Hygene 903. It's got enough power, having a 4.5 amp motor and uses Type B micro filtration bag. I replaced the outer bag from a Royal donner vac with a shot motor.

Electrolux Grand Marquise

Well, here is my daily driver I have been using for about a week now, my rebuilt Electrolux Grand Marquise w/PN-6. I haven't been able to stop using it since I got it! But then again, I guess we're all like that with a new vac in our collection.

daily drivers

All very nice.Kloveland shows something that I have come to believe. That is,for most of what is now the last century if someone had a Hoover upright and Electrolux tank they could clean any house in America.Maybe with a Hoover 541 & Elux XII or mo28 & moXXX or mo63 & Automatic E or Convertble & mo G or Dial-a-Matic &1205.Hoover and Electrolux were both available and affordable to most households in US.Parts and service were easily found. There were of course other good vacs but in some ways they they could not match Hoover & Electrolux.Lewyt, for example was available for a much shorter time.Companies such as Apex may not have had the dealer network and service centers and so on.Anyone else using Hoover-Electrolux pairs?

Nice machines everyone, esp. like that Ultralux and Kenny's Hoover Lux combo, before I started collecting I always had a Kirby and Electrolux as my only machines, Here is my mismatched Rainbow D4, The hose and powernozzle are from a D3,They used a much more user friendly powernozzle setup, you can disconnect it at the hose end,The Rainbow powernozzle was never used and the P/N motor has a bad bearing, but I prefer using the Kenmore P/N's,they seem to groom better.

late to the party, as ever....

Lately I've been using the right hand one of these two... the left hand one has now had it's original v.2 bellows etc restored and is sitting prettily in a corner...
