To all vacuum collectors in vacuum land, for me today was a little like Christmas. I had found two awesome finds in St. Catherine’s it was from an estate. I have been able to acquire a 1932 Electro Lux vacuum with original hose, wand, and carpet attachment, upholstery, dusting brush and the floor brush has been updated as was the power cord. Cleaned it up, plugged it in and it runs just like it was new. The hose has a lot of leaks but the vacuum has awesome suction. $50.00

The second find was a Singer upright vacuum, Golden Power Master with a three position handle, easy bag change, automatic Cord real and adjustable for rug thickness including Shag carpet. It has the original box that it came in but I am looking for the cover for the headlight as this is missing. Plugged in and runs like new. $20.00

After leaving the estate place we stopped at an Antique place just outside of Grimsby and was able to snag an Air Way Vacuum, with almost all original attachments with the exception of the dusting brush, the unit included 2 unused bags. Plugged in and runs like new. $30.000

This has been an awesome day in expanding my collection and wanted to share with the great collectors of Vacuum Land .org. Three more vacuums that did not find their way to land file!

Have an awesome day!

You are one LUCKY man!!! I have a electrolux model 12 with all the original tools, box and original screw in hose mounts (it has the conversions for the more modern hose) 20$!!!
Im curious to know how the Singer upright works. i had one and lost it in a flood several years ago along with other rare vacs. Never had the chance to try it out.
What a great day for you!!! Enjoy.

Hi Ken, thanks for the note. I was able to test drive the Singer upright yesterday and with the two speed motor and multi adjust on the carpet level found the unit to have great suction and did a nice job on the pile of the carpet. It is a keeper

Have a great day

What WONDERFUL finds, especially the Electrolux!! It really is amazing, isn't it, what's still out there ... the days of making the thrift shop rounds and coming home with the car stuffed to overflowing with old machines is gone, but there are still treasures to be found.

Great Vacs!!

Amazing finds. All once common, now rare.It is interesting to see that the Singer along with Westinghouse and some later power drive uprights was shipped in one piece.(I think I still have a couple of similar Singers for parts or restore.)The AirWay was the first of brighter colors and the Attach-a-Caddy.(The rug & floor tools should be turned in line with the upholstery tool.)
