There is a Rainbow E-series for sale by owner. It comes with the shampooer accessory , large and small power head, two hoses, two basins,,,the whole works. The seller is asking $200.

To buy or not to buy?

Depending on its condition, I would say that is a huge bargain.  But before you buy it, I would remove the HEPA filter and examine the lower motor chamber.  That will give you an idea of how well it was cared for and/or serviced.  If it is filthy, you probably would want to service it.

Servicing it yourself

There is a very good utube video on how to dissasemble a single speed E series rainbow, you can service your machine yourself and save a ton of money, its not hard to do.

Good deal I think as well.......If it's a one speed, it will be much easier to take apart and clean. I watched that video in question and it doesn't look so bad but there were a few steps that weren't in the video, like putting the gasket back on. I think on Joel's video he had a terrible time getting the gasket back on the his 2 speed. I almost want to buy a used one speed just to tinker? with....the good thing about the E series is most of the parts are compatible with the 2 speed, except the hepa. I also hear the one speeds are really loud

I have emailed the seller

with a few questions about the vacuum, and when I get a response I will make a choice,,, I think I will go for it.If I do I will keep that vac for a long time.
