It's finally time to attack the spare rooms!   There are tons of items I must organize, etc all of this Hoover stuff.  There are 3 rooms full of things.  I've decided to finally group all like items, photograph, etc so I'll know what to keep, sell ,give, etc.

I'll post lots of pics of before, during and after.   For example, I'll gather all of the Handivacs, pixies, Connies, etc.  Last, but certainly not least,  the massive 'array' of Convertibles.  It'll be therapeutic and fun.

Pics to follow very soon.

Funny you should mention that

Comments have been made in the past  form others who did work here.  One, "Craig", will never return.  I've heard other workers talking to each other.  Comments like:  "What was THAT"?  Did YOU hear that?  THAT wasn't here a little while ago.   "JESUS",  and,  "What's with the vacuums?  "Don't ask" was the response.  LOLOL

I guess it's time to shake things up again.

Funny,

"What's with the vacuums", been there heard that. My favorite, be it mixers or vacuums or logo'd t-shirts is "do you really NEEED that many ..." I say of course I don't NEEED that many but as a collector that's what we do, collect get it? Sheesh!

I wouldn't ask my sister if she really needs 118 pairs of shoes, last count, I know the answer to that!

How are the cats doing? Are they in their new location?

Yes, indeed.

It's making me remember things, events, and people...some good, some great, some not so good.

But,  there should be some things in these rooms that might help others.

The wiring and windows have all been replaced in this room. I'll be able to hang drywall, and install gorgeous hardwood floors. ...taking something not too nice, and making it beautiful.  I've done that throughout the entire house.

Their 'apartment' is still used by them.

Their food, litterboxes, etc are there.  It's the safe place they can go when construction has been done, or, large crowds of people were here.  During my mini meets, They're be up there, safe.  After dinner, they would come downstairs and mingle. It WAS the 'maid's room', yrs before we lived here.  It's a 20' X 25' room, above the kitchen.  It WILL be restored and used as their apartment plus the 'gallery'.  Hopefully, Mr. Fountain will be here shortly to do the things I cannot.

  I'm getting inspired again.

I don't really like the Slimlines, Portables, Connies or any of the older Hoover straight suction canisters. I currently do not have any of those in my collection aside from a family member's green Slimline in the box.

However, I'm totally with you on the convertibles especially the 60 series. 66, 67, 68, 69. I used a 589 at another house and one of my 69s at mine. Hoover got it right on the attachments aside from low suction. My favorite attachment is the wall/bare floor tool that came with the 65 and up. Its brushes are full and it's so easy to click in the converter to go from carpet to dusting and catching a couple of cobwebs on the wall and dog hairs on a bare floor.

Yesterday, my electric shaver slipped out of my hands and landed on the tile floor in my bathroom. I grabbed my 69, ultraflex hose, telescoping wand and floor/wall tool already assembled and my 69 got the shaver's contents up in seconds.

Yes, the tool suction on the convertibles is not the best. In my opinion the quality of the older Hoover tools makeup for this and are designed to take advantage of the available suction.

And both genuine and generic C bags are still freaking everywhere even in 2023. I just bought a bundle of C bags and belts at the thrift store yesterday.
