Thrifting at Pete's Subterranean Vacuutorium

Thank you, Doug and Wayne. With my love of all things Lewyt & Shetland this is indeed a prize.

I imagine the blue Twin-Power Automatic is meant to have a lens inside the cast aluminum bezel? A shaped flat piece of white or ribbed clear plastic will take care of that. 25 watt bulb is terrifically bright. It's so smooth and quiet with the brushroll bearings cleaned out and oiled.

and yes, the emptor is not snapped around all the way - I had the bag off and the brushroll needs some attention.

Incidentally all of the hoses, including the Eureka, have no leaks. Bonus.

Glad you solved your balance problems. Those kitties is smart! Happy travels on your winter roadtrip. We will all look forward to pictures and posts.

But as we all know cats are in stealth mode all day, only bothering to stir for a snack and some water. It's at night while we sleep that they re-enact the Indy 500 up & down stairs and bounding over furniture. Then they put on our clothes and have a dance party. Crafty little fellers even manage to clean up after themselves, flushing the crepe streamers down the toilet and removing the disco mirror ball before we wake up.

And there they are staring and purring at your face as if they've been snoozing in that spot all night long.

If I'm still up and about 30 minutes past my midnight bedtime they come in mewling and batting at my ankles until I get upstairs in bed with my book. Hector hunkers across my chest and 'helps' me turn the pages. for his reward of a head scratch, while hefty Felix has taken to cannonballing from the high chest of drawers into the middle of the duvet a dew times, then stretching out at the foot across my ankles.

Love 'em.
