Thrift Store finds for today!

Today I went to my local thrift store in good hopes of finding good items because today they were having a 50% off sale on everything!
Well boy did I find some goodies.

-First is just 2 packs of bags.

-Second is a Singer Twin Turbo (which I already have the same one of but this one is in such great condition)

-And last (also my favorite) is the Eureka. the hood needs to be re-painted but otherwise everything else is just dirty.

The Eureka certainly is a super find! Congrats.

Did those come from Unique?  My friend texted me a picture of that Eureka maybe 2 weeks ago.. I never ran up to get it; I have a pretty nice one... Mine has a round handle, though -- it looks like that one has a square handle.  Congrats!  That hood may clean up nicely -- try giving it a good scrub and polish before repainting it.

Trevor, the Singer is nice but that Eureka is FABULOUS!!!  I'm very happy for you and a little envious too.  I went to the thrift store on my end of town today too but didn't find anything nearly as good.  The crowd there today was huge; I had to park clear at the other end of the shopping center!

Fred- yes these are from unique! lol i go there allll the time because they usually have such great stuff, its was extremelyyyy crowded though since its 50% off today. they had another one up there but it had the round handle and the switch on the base. and also speaking of unique. remember a while ago when you picked up that green DAM from there? i thought it was quite funny because about a week earlier i went in there and seen it but had no money! LOL

And henry200- thats the same way it was for me! the entire parking lot and most of the street were full of cars!

This eureka resto is a little more work than anticipated. lol can you tell me when you have a free weekend? cause i sure could use some help haha its clean just the scuffs and paint and bag are harder then first seemed haha so if you could help me oout that would be great! thanks!

OMG, the eureka takes me back. That was the first eureka that I got from my dad that he got from work. But a flood destroyed that and many other machines. Awesome finds! Best of luck with them.

Is there anything wrong with it, or have you never worked on one before?


 


Not sure offhand when I'll have a free weekend; but we'll try to work something out soon!  We're way overdue to meet up and play vacuums!

umm..

the only thing thats sort of wrong with it is one of the sides on the bag connector is broken. i have like 10 eurekas of this style so i know what to do lol its just this one is a bit more complicated. i would love for this one to be a very nice resto when im done! and yes i agree we must hangout soon!!
