Hello,

I have inherited three vintage Electroluxes from the 60's and 70's. I really don't want to post them on eBay and to go through the hassle of shipping them. I am hoping to find somebody in the Washington DC area who might be interested in making an offer. Here is what I've got. All three will run.

1) Model F - Fairly beat up. Back wheels are broken.

2) Model G - Switch is broken. Only way to turn vacuum on and off is by plugging and unplugging it.

3) Model 1205 - In good working order.

I also have three hoses, floor wands, and brushes to go with them. One of the hoses is taped up in spots.

Pictures of the canisters are attached.

Anybody want to give these guys a home? I'll be happy to answer questions or take more pictures.

Up for adoption

Actually, I'm willing to put these guys up for adoption, if anybody wants them. Otherwise, they're getting hauled away with the junk.

I'm not in the D. C. area--would be interested if I were, but I wanted to encourage you to put them on Craigslist, in your local shopper, etc. for parts instead of discarding them (the Model F and Model G, anyway). In fact, the right vacuum cleaner shop would be glad to get them, too (maybe they'd give you some free bags for the cleaner you use or a repair credit in exchange) The motors, cord winders, cords, wheels, et cetera could be reused in other cleaners if someone didn't want to restore them.

Thanks for giving Vacuumland a shot!

Same here

If I were close to you I'd be more than happy to take all of them off your hands, unfortunately I am quite some distance away. NOW if you take a notion that you would want to ship them, hit me up, I'm in KY and wouldn't care to pay shipping costs on them. Whatever you do, please don't discard those classics!
