Came on this site while buying bags. I have my grandmother's Atomic Blue. Had no idea it was so special! Certainly still works great. Interested now in some of the obscure doodads on the canister. Didn't know it had automatic ejection, which may not work at the moment.

Welcome! If you're looking for more Model LX information you can use the Search Forums hyperlink in the purple strip above to peruse the archives.

Welcome aboard! I agree with Paul, there are indeed many LX related posts to be found in the forum archives. Being your Grandmother's LX makes it that much more special! My Grandmother's model 82 Hoover Constellation will always be a special part of my collection.

Indeed, welcome! Vacuumland is s great place to learn everything you ever wanted to know about your vacuum cleaner and a lot of stuff you didn't even know to ask. I think the LX and its predecessor, the XXX are two of the most beautiful vacuums Electrolux ever made. I just acquired an LX myself about a month ago. It's a little bit of an oddball, as it's a rebuilt unit from Metropolitan Vacuum. We'd love to see pictures of yours. While mine has no connection to my family, I give it pride of place in my collection as a stand-in for the one my grandparents had.
