St Vincent DePaul

In Wisconsin Goodwill and St Vincent De Paul compete with each other. You still never know what's there. I bought a very good condition early Bissell Grand Grapids sweeper for $9.10 earlier this year from Goodwill. Last week, I found a "left to rot in a leaky attic for fifty years" Bissell Grand Rapids. Just a rotten, cracked piece of fire starter wood. The price was only $45.00. Smoke some more crack, guys. Wow. Same store I bought a nice Heritage II with tools and shampoo kit for $9.50.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I just wish that realistic pricing was a part of that too.

And.....

they get the stuff for FREE no less. Corporations have the get the best return for their shareholders or the shareholders withdraw their funds.

So why is GW allowing Management to allow production Employees to price items so high? It is supposed to be a Non-profit. I must be missing something or just ill informed.

My favorite is at checkout, where the cashier asks for donations for a special fund.....you basically have already donated money for items they received for free.

Last time Shaylee and I went this was what we saw.

Bisell Powerforce bagless $25.00 Goodwill
Riccar 5500 $10.00 Value Village
Royal 501 $10.00 Red Rack
Dirt devil $45 Red RAck
Trashed Kirby Heritage II $65.00 SAvers

I would buy any vacuum for under $10. Every vacuum here no matter how ruined is about $30 to $40. Beat up Oreck XL with a bad motor was at my Goodwill for $40.00. A bunch of Bissell bagless vacs from the mid 2000s were $25-$30, no attachments on any of them and they were all horribly clogged up. The old "well my vacuum doesn't work anymore, time to spend another $200 on one because I don't know how to clean it"
