Another beautiful classic Eureka! Made for the Timothy Eaton department store chain at Eureka’s “Onward Manufacturing” plant in Kitchener, Ontario - located between Toronto and Detroit (where Eureka was first established).
In fact, the Kitchener plant provided Eureka with some of the attachments sold in the USA - including floor brushes. If some of you look inside your classic Eureka “Floor and Wall Brush”, you’ll see “Made in Canada” embossed in the rubber.
Growing up in Montreal, Eaton’s was the place to go if I wanted to see the latest from Eureka - though they were all branded Viking. It was only in vacuum specialty shops that we were able to buy Eureka-branded Eurekas. Which is where Dad bought our blue Eureka Super Automatic 260 upright in 1960.
Enjoy your Viking, Keith! :-D
