I would like to know who wrote this history.
If you scroll down you will see the claim is that in 1950 the first convertible line of upright vacuums were introduced. Kirby had been doing this with the Sanitation system as well as Hoover also had converters long before this. As well as Eureka, Apex and others.
I see in 1860 a man named Hess patented a carpet sweeper that used bellows to create suction/air flow and 2 water chambers to trap the dust and dirt. Could this possibly be the 1st bag less vacuum cleaner?????
