I was just thinking of posting something about those jetpack Electroluxes from "Tomorrowland" - thanks for doing it. They were in two or three scenes in the movie, and the Electrolux name is prominently displayed. It looked like they did something to the logo to make it larger and chunkier. The design is just slightly different than the original.

It was fun to see those.

1963 Kenmore vacuum.

I can't believe the resemblance to mine! Right down to the small dent in the attachment plate,& the crooked bumper. The bag on both mine,& the movie one were replaced with a brown shake out one. I have the original bag,it's light beige,& uses disposable bags.We had one when I was growing up. Mother had an even older Kenmore 116 upright,& wanted a new one for downstairs so she wouldn't have to lug it up & down the stairs. My dad came home with the 1963 one,he got it used from a friend he knew at the Beverly Country club. This was in 1966.I remember seeing the Kenmore for the first time when he opened the trunk of our 1962 Mercury meteor, after we visited my grandmother in the hospital. He showed it to mother, she said it was filthy,& had to be cleaned up before it came into the house. Shortly after that I had a bad case of tonsiltis.Mother asked,me what I would like.I was 6 years old. I told her I wanted the new vacuum next to my bed. It sat there till I got better! Here is the old one,on the end. It runs GREAT.My mom bought it in 1947 for my grandmother ,for mother's day
