Help Support VacuumLand:

Lol, yea. i bought that hoover for the extra belts, brushroll, and extension wand (im too cheap to buy a new one). I figured id try to sell it here before I offer it to some folks in town. never understood why they dont make brushrolls for it anymore

At Goodwill this morning I found an Electrolux Special Edition Upright for $4.99. Cleaned all the hair off the brushroll, threw out the sponge filter under the bag (it smelled like dog), cleaned the bag chamber with a Clorox disinfecting wipe.

Gave the Electrolux Special Edition upright along with an Electrolux Diamond Jubilee to a friend.

Anyway went to a flea market today didn't buy anything but afterward I hit a Goodwill and found an Electrolux PN6 with wand and hose for $4.

Kirby Classic, thats quite the bright vacuum! I like my red one better. The only thing it came with was a bag, hose, and want. the rest came later.
Ray, that pn6 would be good on your 2100 you got at goodwill...

Saw some interesting stuff today. Twin Chamber Tempo, Black Oreck XL, Windtunnel V2 bagless, older Hoover that had a hand vac that mounts onto the front. The Oreck was in great shape, but I typically only buy Fantoms and higher end stuff these days due to space constraints.

$15 Silverado!

I'm mad at that 10/1/15 post. A $15 Silverado with Power Brush at a Goodwill. I would have totally bought that if it had been in Richmond VA and I done seen it.

Some people are just beastly when it comes to caring for their vacuum cleaners. One woman I knew in Naperville, Illinois used to lift her Electrolux 1205 by the hose instead of the handle. When I asked her why? she said "it's only a vacuum cleaner, why should I care about it, it's not like it has feelings or anything!" I just bit my tongue, but that's the general attitude of some people. GRRRRRRR!

Anybody in Long Island?

not mine, bu there is a Kirby on CL for $1 with many accessories. Needs some TLC.

Hi Sven

The Kirby in the picture is a Kirby 514 going on the pattern design on the attachment boxes.

I hope someone can rescue it.....

The Kirby I posted does look nice, but I cannot get it. Not worth the drive, and I have a lot of vacs now.

In my area, there seems to be a bunch of older vacs on CL. I even saw a nice Lewyt this summer.

The Goodwill in Woodridge has a Eureka Powerline canister with the power nozzle.

The Thrift store in Aurora has 2 Kirby Classics, a Kirby Classic III, A Kirby Heritage, a Panasonic upright, something I couldn't identify and several other vacuums I didn't feel like digging through.

The Goodwill in Naperville had several vacuums piled on top of each other in a bin. I thought I saw a Dirt Devil Vision ( is it a vision or a nightmare ? ) in the bin under something else.

The rest of the Goodwills had the usual cheap junk vacuums.
