Hi all!! Well, my Uncle who travels alot on business and always keeps a lookout for me when he does, has struck again! He came back from a trip earlier this week and had this for me. A round, red, swivel-top Royal canister that matches the red bullet-shaped Royal that I've had for several years.

Here he is with his big brother. Don't they make a pretty pair! The only thing missing is the dusting brush. Anybody got a spare gray Royal dusting brush that they'll sell? Anyway, enjoy the pics, Trg

Toby,

I've got that red tank Royal....it's on my to do list. However, I don't remember seeing yours! You must have just gotten it, as you only have four vacuum cleaners - so I know I would have seen it! Nice Royal canister! Amazing! I can see the "Good Housekeeping" sticker on it.

Congratulations!

Rick

Sireluxomatic, yes indeedy that tool caddy is original. Still has the Royal Appliance Co. sticker on it. Captain Crevicetool, you must have just missed the Royal. He lives on a bottom shelf, and you being a good bit taller that me, that could easily have happened. Note to self: put interesting things on higher shelves in future. Later, Trg

Brother and Sister re-united at last!

I very much admire the Royal/Electro-Hygiene 1960s Rocket Themed design elements.

My red Canadian Electro-Hygiene is the spitting image of the Royal. It is date stamped 1974 inside. Probably a later version of yours, Toby? The caster trolly/tool rack is stamped steel and it has a PN socket. The rug/floor tool belongs to the blue Royal Pete gave me - I had the blue tool in a partz bin.

That Sofa looks like the last decorators delight from the late
60's. The last of the Spanish influence in decor, with oranges, golds, and green shag carpeting !!
Can't really knock shag carpet it helped sell a lot of Kribys
(D-50s and 80's) during that era !!! Other then a Royal and
maybe Eureka breaking in to the Dial A Nap market. Kirby was
the only cleaner that had the power and the 8 heights of adjustment !

TOBY!!

You certainly are a "vac magnet"!! That Royal is in wonderful condition and is a great companion for your tank model. And to boot, your favorite color, RED. Now I know a trip up to see you will be in the near future cuz we have to try out your newest acquisitions.
