The PowerMAX 950- European-Sounding American Hoover Vacuum Cleaner

I have photos of the PowerMAX 950 I saved from Cragslist. I was wondering why Hoover made this, even though they made the Spectrum 950 It looks somewhat identicle. But the color schemes and features have been changed. Except for Variable Speed and Remote On-Off. This sound to me like a european thing. Using series number with vacuum cleaners. What is so different about Spectrum and Powermax Canisters? Oh, the agitators and power nozzles.
