Perfect vacuums

Before I talk about vacuums, I want to also say that Tom has been an awesome friend and he has given me lots of knowledge that I would never have had otherwise. I'm a blind person and the first time I visited the museum, he took several hours to let me feel and hear each vacuum, for someone without sight, obtaining as much information from your other senses is important. I am looking forward to seeing him and everyone else next month at the convention.
Ok, on to the original topic of this thread. I have a few different Perfect vacuums and they are all very good. I have the C101 which I don't think is made anymore, it's a metal canister which looks very much like an Electrolux metal canister, it uses a two stage motor and it's very powerful. I also have the 103 which Tom sold me which looks similar to a plastic Electrolux canister. Interestingly, it still uses the metal Electrolux hose. I also have the Perfect 10 quart backpack, it's very nice and one of the only backpacks with a hook up for a power nozzle. I'm looking forward to getting their commercial canister, that also sounds like a great cleaner.
I wonder how the new Perfect upright compares to the Sebo Felix, I'm much more of a canister person but I absolutely love the Felix. For those who prefer uprights, it sounds like Perfect has developed a really nice one.

The Perfect machines are made in China, but Perfect (an American Company) owns their own factory in China. So they control the quality. The Aerus Commercial, at this moment, is made in the USA. Interestingly, the Perfect has more suction (almost 100 inches of lift).

We tried the Sanitaire style upright at work and didn't like it. Same motor and agitator.

For what ever reason just didn't seem to perform or handle the same. I noticed the arc on the handle was different. We were using the dust cup model.

Which in some ways is sad as they are cost competitive in the market.

The electrolux style one I'm not to sure about. I used the Discovery equivalent and just wasn't impressed with that one for sure. It doesn't help that I prefer a direct air machine.

We also have had 2 of the Bissell versions.

Problem children with clogging up easy. You have to take the brush housing apart to unclog the machine. Then putting the clam shell brush housing back together and getting the seals to stay in place long enough to do it.

The brush housing and all around the motor were always full of dirt and lint.

Made me appreciate just about any other vacuum but that one.
