I thought I would share my opinion of my new Hoover Whisper I got to replace the Oreck. I replaced the Oreck motor in January and it is already making horrible sounds again. It hardly picks up. I'm tired of fooling with it.

The Whisper lives up to its name. It is SUPER quiet. The suction only motor sound an awful lot like a Kenmore Magic Blue canister. The machine has great suction--and it really does not lose suction when the bin is full. It has cyclonic--whatever that really means. I have always been a little leary of bagless vacs, but this one has proven to be excellent. The attachments are pretty good. It does have an aluminum wand. The machine doesn't tip over when using attachments either. I really do think it outcleans the Oreck in a much QUIETER way. Just thought I would share this info. Tim

Whoa!!!! Tim,

1. Where have you been? and,

2. You have a 1920's era piano.

We need to know what brand of piano, and who plays it.

Rick

piano

Rick,

I play the piano. It is a 1924 Henry Detmer. Don't know much more about it other than I bought it from a restorer here who bought it from a doctor's estate in Cartersville. The restorer said that it was possibly an Aeolian owned company, but who knows? The action is a little sloppy, but has a nice rich tone. What do you think about the new Hoover I got?

gotta agree with you on the noise...orecks are screamers.
hoover looks nice and much easier to take apart and clean/wash out than most other b-less .far more agressive broll....so better on med to high carpet. low noise or less noise a plus.do your filters clog easy...still new looking...if you like bagless then you have hava a hit,
