THE NEW KIRBY IS HERE

Basically the same story as the Heritage II legend and Legend II before the introduction of the G3 in 1990- the only difference between the Heritage II legend and Legend II is color. That's it. They held over the Heritage/Legend II by improving the color scheme, then introduced the G3. They held over the Sentria (II) by improving the color scheme, and no doubt they will come out with a new and completely different machine.

A "completely different" machine for Kirby is somewhat oxymoron as they have not appreciably changed their machines in many decades. They are still heavy, bulky, and very loud that lack even the most basic convenience features. Yes they vacuum well, but so do others. I've seen many carpets that a Kirby never touched that look good for years and years. A new machine for Kirby does usually mean a bag color change and maybe slightly different shaped metal. A vacuum salesman once said to me that people are sold Kirby's, they do not buy Kirby's. Not entirely true as they have their fans for sure. I like them for historic value only.
