Well the kitchen project and grandpas old home is finished.


time for cleanup!


Here are our weapons of choice.

Im going to service the bearings in it for him, on all 3 of his compacts. They are starting to get loud.

Sears Kenmore floor polisher/carpet scrubber!



FOUND NEW IN BOX NEVER opened in the basement. It was my grandpa's mother's that he put in the basement when she passed away. We dug it out 6-7 years ago.


Has absolutely everything and works like none other. Variable speed, smooth easy polishing. 3 polishing/scrubbing pads to go with it.

The only picture I have on the computer is from the county assessor.


I will be there tomorrow after school, and will take pictures of the entire house all around outside.

We have been splitting hostas ALL WEEKEND! Hard long work. Still got 8 to finish.



I tried making a video tour of the house, but ran out of time. Shall do that some day.

Oh the wonders that google maps can do for you!



The house is stated to go to my Dad and Mom in my grandparents will.

My dad says he would sell everything out of it (antiques, expensive furniture and such) and sell the house. He doesn't like the neighborhood. I grew up in a house just down north 5 houses from it. The neighborhood is in a pretty bad part of town. High crime rate.

My grandpa has lived in this house for 30 years and not once had an issue though.

If we were to win the lottery my grandpa said he would put all the money into relocating, or creating an exact replica of the house, but making it on a larger scale.


I would cry if this house were to be sold outside of the family. Hopefully my grandparents might reconsider giving it to my dad and pass it down to me, to be my home.

I have put my own 1,000s of hours of sweat in labor of cleaning, maintaining, and adding on to the house, and yard/gardens. My grandpa and I have bonded like none other through the projects on the house.

This picture is pretty recent. The fountain was put in 2 years ago, and I think I see the renovated front flower beds near the oaks, which were done last summer.

Ok after a windy time of splitting more hostas, I took a few pictures. Forgot to take a picture of the rear of the house.



Here is a framed- hand drawn sketch of the house as it was back in the mid 1980s just before renovation. My grandpas best friend drew this. Its on their wall in the living room.
