What??

Who has started that now?? I know people that work there gonna be a sad holiday for them once they find this out.. & it's only 1/2 hour away from where I live.. Oh well so much for applying there if it's closing down 😞

I prefer older orecks, the newer ones seem... too new. The older ones are classic and more durable and stronger. I know that TTI has made some improvements to Oreck, but the new machines that they have come up with seem a little too plasticy. I liked Oreck much better back when they were making orecks like XL21. My grandmother has an Oreck Classic Hertiage, it's not that great. It's fallen apart, the brush roll and belt both broke and its shorted out. We payed $200 for it. It's not worth it. My oreck 40th anniversary is so much better, stronger and durable... I got it for $20. If anything...in my opinion, TTI has changed Oreck for the worse. Since when does Oreck make a steamer like that? If Mr. David Oreck saw what his company has become he would be so upset! The company he started from nothing has bee ruined... :(

TTI

Just bought Oreck they haven't changed anything on Oreck yet where do some of you come up with these things ???

I have never heard so many people make up something about a company without knowing anything about a company . The ink hasn't even dried on the contracts yet .

David Orecks Son Tom Oreck is still at Oreck and speaks to his father reguarly .

I work closely with TTi, my Hoover/Royal Distributors and Lawson International. If I'm getting the same story from direct employees and people indirectly involved, and the stories line up, why wouldn't the presumptions be made?

Some people talk just to start a fight.

"Stirring the pot;, as it were. They like to hear themselves.
There are always numerous sidfes to a story.
I had heard numerous stories about "Hoover" changing, returning, re-introducing....
I KNOW they kept the patents... for obvious reasons.
I'll never "throw gas on the fire".
I believe the things I heard that were directly from Glenwillow. about lots of things. Some things, indeed, have come true. Others...............
And, from some "sources" among "us".... All with a grain of salt.

I'm not talking about you I'm speaking about those who bash TTI and say TTI has destroyed Oreck Hoover and Royal .
I have many friends in the vacuum industry including TTI Oreck and Hoover and I hear good news coming out about Hoover Royal and Oreck . Since when is it bad that they purchased Oreck and are making commercial and Domestic vacuum by Oreck Royal and Hoover right here in the USA while employing Americans .I love TTI because they have saved Hoover Royal and Oreck if it wasn't for them these companies would be gone from history . I know from owning a vacuum shop many vacuum stores don't like TTI because they don't support them as they'd like but that will change in time they had a mess to clean up from the Maytag ownership and the company that owned Oreck just about destroyed Oreck . You can't clean things up over night but good things are on the Horizon at TTI .
I am passionate about many brands as you can tell from my extensive collection and owning many of the vacuums out there and being an all brand enthusiest I can say TTI makes great vacuums .

I love these snarky immature childish innuendos about me I learn so much that I didn't know about myself 😜😛😝

Why did Hoover quit making the good turbine powered hand tool? Or are they still available?

Is Bissell owned by TTI?[this post was last edited: 12/16/2014-00:12]

Dan,

I apologize. I thought you were responding to me.

As a dealer, I am very excited for whats to come...

The only 'issue' I have with TTi is that they discontinued our RY7910/RY7940 extractor... That was the only extractor we ever fully supported, sold and serviced.

We were hoping that Oreck would get that unit under their label but that was not the case...

I was also hoping for the floormate that Oreck got to be branded under Royal... Oh well...

Again, Dan, I do apologize. I hope you didn't take offense to any of my responses.

Royal self propelled

Hey guys do yall think royal will rebadge the self propelled version of the windtunnel under the royal name like the did the tempo and windtunnel supreme?

Joshua

Please stuff like this doesn't offend me I am just very passionate about TTI brand Hoover Oreck and Royal .

Don't worry even better machines are on the way just you wait to see ;) l know those machines were great some of TTis best our local vacuums shops are upset they are discontinued also .

The Oreck purchase by TTI will bring many exciting vacuums for many years to come and keep Hoover Royal and Oreck around well into the future .

I agree!!

jaker15, I completely agree. TTI has ruined all those brands. I would like to see a new "oreck" out perform one of my older XL 2's.

Remember the Hoovers of the mid-2000s, before TTI bought them out? Now that was a sad time for Hoover. Their bagless machines, which is what sells these days, were very unimpressive. Plus, with the exception of the Elite, many pre-TTI machines are still for sale. I've been very pleasantly surprised with Hoover since the TTI takeover. You can't really compare a 1935 Hoover with one from 2014. The same is true with most every other brand. No way do the current Aerus Electrolux machines compare to the Model G. "They just don't make em like that anymore"

In my opinion...and experience....

Vax in the UK wouldn't be where they are today without Dirt Devil in the U.S, which in turn through contract agreement, Vax supplied some models to Dirt Devil U.S

After being absorbed by TTI, Vax has become one of the best selling brands in the UK and they offer cost effective products at times dependent on the model in question. Not everything Vax makes is automatically better -their tub canisters, of which I was a fan of have slipped down in plastic build quality these days and Vax have no clear signs of improving them, which is a pity given how solid a Numatic tub vacuum is.

Hoover reskin

This appears to be a slightly re-skinned version of the Hoover Floormate.

It is certainly made in China, not Cooksville. No way they would reshore this thing.

I have some inside information on these sorts of things. I'm not totally up to date, but this is an obvious one.

It's awful, I tried one at my Oreck store last week. The brushes are air powered and barely spin, I'll stick with my floormate deluxe. I was really hoping this would be an improvement over my floormate esp with its longer cord, but it's not. Don't know why they didn't give the brushes their own motor like the floor mates do.
