Finally I am getting around to posting some pictures of my 64 with the attatchments that Jeff Parker very generously gave to me during the midwest mini-meet a week ago.

Just when I thought I would never find the attachments, (I had the hose and a great vacuum that I made from 64's from Robb Castaldo and Charles Richard Lester), I casually mentioned to Jeff, when Fred and I went to Hooverland on Sunday night, of my quest. Lo and behold, Jeff had a set and offered them to me.

So, after a trip through the dishwasher, the hose through the shower for a scrubbing and a dust off of the vacuum, here they are. I've always really liked the 64. The colors are so subtle and soft. The tools match beautifully. It is one of the few, "named", Hoovers as well.

Another Jeff goodie.........

Jeff also had some Kirby bags that were like new for the Omega. There were several bags during the production run. I believe, a smooth gold bag with the Kirby patch, a stripe in a rubber-like material on a gold bag with the Kirby patch and a diamond pattern rubber-like material on a gold bag with the Kirby patch.

Jeff sold me, (very reasonably), a like new striped one shown here. Fred purchased the diamond pattern one. That needed minor repair and I took it to Charlotte. I picked it up today and it looks great. Soon, it will be off to Chicago for Fred.

THANKS Jeff for your help and making the collection more complete and correct!

Wow that is a great looking bag..

Wow that Hoover is incredible, you are very lucky to have it. That bag is great to. It looks great on you Classic Omega. They had the two bags for that machine. The striped one and then spekled or little dot shape. They both felt the same as far as texture...

you're welcome Charlie!

that color on the 64 is called Sandlewood by the way...

The Omega bag looks great too!

Wow, Charlie! I really like the Citation. It is so great when you can complete an ensemble. Jeff Parker is a great guy with a lot of knowledge and a big heart. I am very glad to see him back on the forum.

Oh..yeah...um...great Kirby. No really nice looking Omega!

A couple of great vacs, Charlie. I agree with Tom, it's great when you have the complete ensemble. Do you have ALL the attachments for the Kirby as well?

Omega

Jeff,

Oh yes, the Omega has all her attachments including the shag king, miracle head and rug renovator. One of my friends at work bought it new, (she recently provided the receipt), and when she was done with it, gave it to me.

I had it "redone" by Kirby and acquired the attachments that she did not have. I have upgraded the brushroll to the 4 brushstrip and inside track belt. It is one of my favorites.

In addition are 2 Dual 50s, a Dual 80, Classic III, Legend II and a mint G3. They are all near mint and used on occasion---the Legend II is a daily driver on the first floor. My spouse loves that vacuum!

Thanks for the comments and Tom A., my first love is Air-Way, followed by Hoover and the rest are all tied! However, those Kirby's sure are pretty when polished and fun to use even if they are not the "best" vacuums. I really like the way they look and all the attachments are fun if nothing else. The roar of a metal Kirby fan is great.

Beautiful!

Charlie, that Hoover Citation is so "smart" looking. Love the attachments too...and you even have the blower. Very cool...thanks for sharing.

OMG (haha)

Can someone please find me a Kirby Omega bag? I have a Kirby Classic bag along with a Kirby replacement bag that I could definitely trade both for an original Kirby Classic bag. Both are in awesome shape; the Classic has a small stain next to the badge. The replacement bag is like MINT! It is perfect. I have some Omega attachments if anyone wants some. They are just extras I have collected. Thanks!

Charlie that is one beautiful Citation!!! It looks like brand new out of the box. How is the suction with the attachments?

Love the Citation Charlie..never can seem to find the attachments around here though. I agree with your spouse, the Legend II is one of my favorites for daily use. Having two long haired and super shedding black border collies running amuck in the house I know what does and doesn't pick up dog hair easily..ie one pass. Hoovers first and foremost followed by the Eurekas and the Legend II. I think the Legend II is better than the others whether older or newer.
