Just thought I would show off my Birthday gift to my self for this year. Just finished its rebuild last night for the formal induction into the Vacuum Gallery at Jae Place!

It is a 1973 Model 2074 A. BEHOLD ITS MAJESTY!

One of Eureka Williams’ finest products. My parents had the Cordaway version in the same “Queen Anne Gold”.

Those were the days, my friend. *sigh*

I have that model too...

But mine has the Antique white "Enamel" Hood. Eureka offerd both chrome hood or painted for the higher end machines up untill about 1975.

Actually, ours was model 2083 with the beige hood and new Edge Kleener suction channels. It looked identical to the model you have pictured on the left. It sure was a classy cleaner, and that big headlight was really bright! The only thing it was missing was a handle to help carry it up and down a flight of stairs.

Ahh... thank you! Queen Anne Gold and Antique White...very classy.

You know, the vac matched my mother’s living room very well: early 1970’s style - gold curtains with matching gold sofa, wood topped coffee table and end tables with antique white legs and bases, white wallpaper with a subtle pattern like brocade on the Eureka’s bag. Our wall-to-wall carpeting was turquoise!

You could have sat the Eureka 2083 in the corner of our living room and it would have blended right in!
