The first C8 tools were bone white, followed by the clear with gold specks in them. The clear with gold tools were used until Electrolux bought Tri-Star.

Love your C8. I remember them when they were brand new - how cool they looked when being removed from the box in front of the customer.

Happy for you...

and the paint looks to be in great shape too. I'm sure you felt the loss when the C9 bit the dust due to the fact you actually USE your vacuums on the daily. Are the motors the same size between C8 and C9 or did they grow bigger with each new model?

Yes i use em daily there not musem peice FINALLY !!! some one understood i use my vacuum 365 days a year they will wear down and break just like a car at 300 000 milles u need a tune up .

Side note all my vacuum canister are store in a leather ottoman paddded on
the inside . [this post was last edited: 8/7/2021-21:22]

Can you use something like JB Weld or similar for gluing? On cleaning the white bumper you can spray 409 on to a wet sponge. Try that or take an old toothbrush and make a paste with cleanser and water, then lightly scrub. You can use a polish to shine up the bumper after cleaning, but be careful not to get it on the painted body or it could show up darker. Maybe mask around bumper with masking or painters tape, just a thought. There are products out that re-condition rubber also.

I just like 409 cleaner because it works well and doesn't have a harsh smell. It's as good as commercial cleaners yet sold for home use. It is one of the best for removing oily finger prints off of stainless steel refrigerator doors and other appliances. You can dilute it with water for lighter jobs and stretching your budget too!
