I had been working on this in Auto Shop for the last week. My Great-Grandfather had wanted to restore it when he got feeling better, but it never happened and he died from the aneurysm in his brain so I tackled the project head on and it is almost done except the lid cracked and i need to get a new one

Tyler, that looks great!  I wish I had those kind of painting skills.  Are you doing that as a class project or just for fun?  What a nice tribute to your Grand Grandfather too.

looks nice. im still looking for one of my dream machines. the compact c6 or c7. dont know whitch one it is. my grandma and grandpa had one. i grew up playing with it. and just recently i found out the motor burned up and they took it to the dump

Tyler, that turned out very nice!! I guess all of us here on Vacuumland know where to turn now to get our vacuums painted, LOL.

Kirbykid- That sucks your Grandparents threw out the Compact, but they probably didn't know you would have wanted it. I'm sure you'll find another one soon.
